about me

I work as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Bonn (Germany), where I conduct research on the philosophical and ethical implications of artificial intelligence, social media, and other emerging technologies. I am particularly interested in questions related to human-AI relations, the future of work, and the hidden social costs of AI production. In my research on these topics, I predominantly draw from the tradition of critical social theory.

I obtained my PhD in 2023 at the University of Twente (The Netherlands), with a dissertation titled “The Power of Computer Vision: A Critical Analysis“. My doctoral supervisors were Prof. Dr. Philip Brey and Dr. Y.J. Erden. Prior to my doctoral studies, I got a masters in Applied Ethics at Linköping University (Sweden) and a bachelors and masters in Philosophy from KU Leuven (Belgium). I also studied for one semester at Charles University (Czech Republic) and I have been a visiting researcher at Macquarie University (Australia), University of Toronto (Canada), and the Rathenau Instituut (The Netherlands).

In addition to research and teaching, I am active as an editorial board member of the Springer journal Philosophy & Technology, lead by Prof. Dr. Luciano Floridi, and the Springer book series Philosophy and Ethics of AI, lead by Prof. Dr. Aimee van Wynsberghe.
